- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer, ensuring no gaps.
Making the Caramel
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar. Stir constantly until the mixture starts to boil, then let it bubble for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Combining
- Carefully pour the caramel over the saltines, spreading it evenly to coat. Sprinkle pecan halves generously over the top.
Baking
- Pop the tray in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Cooling
- Remove the tray from the oven and allow the bark to cool completely before breaking it into irregular pieces.
