

Crockpot French Onion Meatloaf
A delicious twist on a classic comfort food, this slow-cooked meatloaf combines caramelized onions, melted Swiss cheese, and savory beef for a hearty meal.

Caramelizing the Onions
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes. Set aside.
Preparing the Meatloaf
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and shredded Swiss cheese. Season with salt and pepper and mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in your crockpot. Top with half of the caramelized onions.
Cooking the Meatloaf
- Pour beef broth over the meatloaf. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until cooked through.
- In the last 10 minutes of cooking, add slices of Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf and cover until melted.
Serving the Meatloaf
- Garnish with remaining caramelized onions and fresh parsley before slicing and serving.
