Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 3 minutes mins
- 2 oz vodka
- 4 oz tomato juice
- 1 oz pickle juice from dill pickles
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp prepared horseradish optional
- 2 dashes hot sauce adjust to taste
- ¼ tsp celery salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Ice cubes
Prepare your glass: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to chill it. Set aside while you prepare the cocktail.
Mix the ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, tomato juice, pickle juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish (if using), hot sauce, celery salt, and black pepper.
Shake it up: Add ice to the cocktail shaker, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to fully mix the ingredients.
Strain and serve: Strain the drink into your prepared glass filled with ice.
Garnish: Optional but highly recommended! Add a pickle spear, lemon wedge, or even a celery stalk as garnish for added flair.
For a spicier drink, increase the amount of hot sauce or horseradish.
You can substitute vodka with gin, tequila, or rum for a different flavor profile.
If you prefer a milder version, skip the horseradish and reduce the hot sauce.
To customize, experiment with different types of pickle juice, such as spicy or bread-and-butter pickles.
