Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork or ground turkey as a substitute
  • 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine Ingredients:
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, ground pork, mushrooms, onion, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix Gently:
  • Use your hands or a spatula to gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing to ensure the meatloaf remains tender.
  • Shape the Loaf:
  • Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
  • Bake:
  • Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the top is golden brown.
  • Rest and Serve:
  • Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a little more shredded Swiss cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
You can substitute breadcrumbs with crushed crackers or rolled oats for a unique texture.
Be sure to finely chop the mushrooms to evenly distribute their flavor and moisture.
