  • Skillet or frying pan for searing steak
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Whisk for the Alfredo sauce
  • Spoon or spatula for tossing and stirring
  • Colander to drain tortellini

Ingredients

  • For the Steak Bites
  • 1 lb sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • For the Alfredo Tortellini
  • 9 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped parsley or extra Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the Tortellini:
  • Boil salted water and cook the tortellini according to the package instructions (about 3–5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  • Sear the Steak Bites:
  • Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned. Add minced garlic during the last 30 seconds. Remove steak and keep warm.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add garlic powder and Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine & Serve:
  • Add tortellini to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat. Return steak to the skillet and gently fold everything together. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap the sirloin for chicken or use a dairy-free cream and Parmesan for a vegan alternative.
You can add veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or peas to the sauce for extra flavor.
Be sure not to overcook the steak for maximum tenderness.
