  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

1. Caramelize the Onions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are soft and golden brown. The secret here is patience—let them cook low and slow for the best flavor!

2. Prepare the Meat Mixture

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.

4. Add the Toppings
