  • 1/4 cup olive oil 🌿
  • 23 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Necessary Tools

  • Mixing bowls: For combining and marinating the ingredients.
  • Sharp knife: To slice garlic and chop artichokes.
  • Airtight container: For marinating and storing in the fridge.
  • Serving platter or small bowls with toothpicks for easy sharing.

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Marinade

  1. Combine the Marinade Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, thinly sliced garlic, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with a little salt and pepper to taste.

Step 2: Combine Ingredients

  1. Assemble the Main Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, add the mozzarella balls, artichoke hearts, and mixed olives.
  2. Add the Marinade: Pour the marinade over the mixture and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

Step 3: Marinate

  1. Cover and Refrigerate: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, or transfer everything to a sealed container.
  2. Chill: Let the ingredients marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour or up to overnight. The longer it marinates, the more intense and delicious the flavors will be!

  2. Serve with Toothpicks or on a platter alongside some crusty bread for dipping into the extra marinade.
